15 Top Countries for Nomads – Part 3
Imagine travelling every Quarter of the year to a new location around the world or even within your country and spending 2-3 months at a time in each Country or place and exploring while building an online business, freelancing or remote working and experiencing the world as you slow travel.
This has been our journey so far…
That’s pretty much what we have been doing for the past year and a bit in Europe. We have been to Spain for 3 months, Bulgaria for 3 months, France for 3 months, Germany 3 month, then I went to Ireland 2 months while my partner stayed in Spain and then back to France for COVID 19 and still here. It’s been a much better pace than what we were doing in Australia and the USA over the past 5 years.
As digital nomads, you can make the mistake of moving too quickly and although you see and experience a lot giving you the opportunity to travel and explore places off the beaten track. When we travel (we are currently active/not so active nomads) we find the best of a culture is always off the beaten track, so we go out of our way to find you great stays with loads of adventure coworking and wifi.
So just imagine if you spent the next 12 months travelling you could explore the following places in the world as borders open and close randomly there are lots of opportunities to slow travel 2-3 months at a time or like us 6 months! This is the longest time we have spent in one place for over 5 years so it’s been different for us, however, being a startup we have our hands full and each day has new challenges and demands.
Let’s start with Scotland a place close to my heart for ancestry. With thousands of years of history and Celtic influences, Scotland is a country with a strong national identity and unique traditions. Scottish people are often known for their open-minded spirit and for being wildly passionate about their sports. The culture of Scotland refers to the patterns of human activity and symbolism and has some elements of separatism, such as its separate national church, and are protected in law. I loved Scotland even when the weather was crap because the people were friendly, helpful and open.
