What Is This, Really?

Nomad Stays has built an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — think of it as a bridge that lets your AI assistant talk directly to our listings, pricing, and availability data in real time. Instead of you translating your needs into search filters, you describe what you want in plain language, and the assistant does the searching, comparing, and — if you’re ready — the booking.

Setting Up Your AI Assistant (Connecting It to Nomad Stays)

You don’t need a Nomad Stays account just to browse and search — that part works for anyone. You’ll only need to log in once you’re ready to book (and members save 5% on our public prices too). Here’s how to connect:

1. Open your AI assistant’s connector settings. In Claude, this is Settings → Connectors (sometimes called “Integrations”).
2. Add the Nomad Stays connector using the URL https://mcp.nomadstays.com/mcp and select “Connect.”
3. Start searching right away — browsing stays, checking amenities, and comparing locations doesn’t require any login.
4. When you’re ready to book, the assistant will prompt you to log in with your Nomad Stays account (or create one in seconds if you’re new).
5. Confirm with two-factor authentication — the same quick code-based check you’d use logging in anywhere else.
6. From then on, just talk. No need to repeat setup — your assistant remembers the connection for future chats.

How the Security Works (Plain English, No Jargon)

You only log in when you’re ready to book — browsing and comparing stays needs no account at all.

When you do log in, two-factor authentication (2FA) means proving it’s really you with two separate things: your password (something you know) and a one-time code (something you have, usually via email or an app). Your assistant’s connection then renews automatically behind the scenes roughly once an hour, so you’re not re-entering codes mid-conversation. It doesn’t expire on its own, and you can disconnect it anytime from your AI assistant’s connector settings.
